Mate is committed to making its website and product usable for everyone, including people with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

Our commitment

We design and build Mate to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Accessibility is part of our ongoing work, and we continually review and improve the experience.

Measures we take

We use semantic HTML, keyboard-navigable controls, sufficient color contrast, descriptive labels and alt text, visible focus states, and support for screen readers. The interface works in 8 languages and supports right-to-left layouts for Arabic and Hebrew.

Accessibility widget

Every page includes an accessibility widget that lets you adjust contrast and saturation, highlight links, stop animations, enlarge text, and more, so you can tailor the site to your needs.
